Meninas, este é um daqueles livros que você lê com a felicidade estampada no rosto e um sorrisinho idiota nos lábios.

É Fofo demais!!!!!!!

De cara a sinopse me conquistou. Muito simples: o ponto de encontro do casal é numa biblioteca (biblioteca, livrarias, meu ponto fraco) e o livro que os faz ficarem juntos não poderia ser outro: o lindo, o inigualável, o clássico "Orgulho e Preconceito".

Depois de ficar sabendo que um de seus amigos conseguiu encontrar a mulher da sua vida graças a um encontro numa biblioteca e porque os dois se encaminhavam para pegar o mesmo livro, Laurence achou que aos 23 anos (nossa!! Que velho!!!) já estava na hora de sossegar e arranjar uma boa moça para casar.

Laurence não era dado à leitura. E ir à biblioteca para quê quando podia comprar qualquer livro que quisesse? Mas resolveu que mal não faria. E olha só a felicidade, ao dar uma voltinha pela biblioteca, ele se depara com uma linda loura de vestido verde... E melhor: ela estava carregando consigo alguns livros sobre matemática e máquinas a vapor. Será que Deus havia escutado suas preces?

Ellen era uma moça bonita e para lá de inteligente. Seu conhecimento em matemática ultrapassava o de seus pais e irmão. E por conta disso ela acabou tendo uma séria decepção amorosa. Qual homem iria aceitar uma mulher mais inteligente do que ele?

Mas numa de suas raras visitas à biblioteca, ela repara num certo cavalheiro muito bonito. E qual sua surpresa quando ele se dirige para pegar o romance que ela mais gostava de ler (e reler)?

Quis o destino que eles pudessem se encontrar naquela mesma noite (na realidade Laurence teve que pagar pela informação) e após isso, ele finalmente pôde descobrir o endereço dela e conhecer sua família.

Depois de vencer este primeiro obstáculo, o dos pais dela, Laurence ainda teria de enfrentar o irmão caçula dela, que a princípio não gostou de Laurence, até descobrir que este também era bom em matemática e adorava mexer em máquinas. Nisso, bateu a dúvida em Ellen: ele estava lá por ela ou pelo que podia aprender com o pai dela e suas invenções?

É uma gracinha as situações em que Laurence se mete para conseguir chegar até Ellen. E quando ele descobre que ela é mais do que um rostinho bonito...ahhhhh....o paraíso!!!

Um livro para ler sem parar. Cada capítulo um sorriso e um suspiro. E uma vontade louca de ler o primeiro também. E vamos lá!!!!

Personagens maravilhosos e envolventes.

O ritmo da história é ótimo.

Ponto positivo: é um livro leve, otimista, engraçado e que te faz sentir bem quando termina a leitura.

Ponto negativo: EU QUERO MAIS!!!!!!!!!!

Girls, this is the one of these books that you read with happiness on your face and a stupid small smile on your lips.

It`s so damn cute!!!

The synopsis got me at first read. Very simple: the meeting point of the couple is at a library (library, bookstore, my weakness) and the book makes them stay together could not be other: the gorgeous, the inimitable, the classic "Pride and Prejudice".

After knowing that one of his friends managed to find the woman of his life thanks to a meeting in a library, and because the two were headed to pick up the same book, Laurence found that at age 23 (Wow!! Which old!) it was time to settle down and find a nice girl to marry.

Laurence was not given to reading. And go to the library for what when you could buy any book you wanted? But decided that would not do harm. And for happiness, to take a walk by the library, he stumbles upon a beautiful blonde in green dress ... And better: she was carrying with her some mathematics books and steam engines. Does God had heard his prayers?

Ellen was a pretty girl, and beyond smart. Her knowledge in mathematics exceeded that of her parents and brother. And because of that she ended up having a serious heartbreak. What man would accept a woman smarter than him?

But one of her rare visits to the library, she notices a certain very handsome gentleman. And what a surprise when he goes to pick up the novel she liked to read (and reread)?

As fate they could meet that night (actually Laurence had to pay for the information) and after that, he was finally able to find her address and meet her family.

After winning this first hurdle, her parents, Laurence would still have to face her younger brother, who at first did not like Laurence, until discover that he was also good at math and loved to tinker with machines. It hits to Ellen doubt: he was there because of her or because of what he could learn from her father and his inventions?

It's  cute how many situations Laurence gets involved to be closer to Ellen. And when he realizes she is more than a pretty face ... ahhhhh .... paradise!!

A book to read without stopping. Each chapter a smile and a sigh. And a mad desire to read the first one. And here we go!!

Wonderful characters.Your connection to them is fast and easy.

The pace of the story is great.

Positive point: it is a  light book, optimistic, funny and makes you feel good when you finish reading.

Negative point: I WANT MORE!!!!!

If I read the other series? For sure!!
